Patrice D. Kiesling, DNP, FNP-C is a strong promoter of using patient education, interdisciplinary teams, multidisciplinary teams, and collaborative relationships to achieve the best outcome. As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in pain management, she is dedicated to using evidence-based practice as part of a holistic, comprehensive approach to patient care, while finding the root of the problem, resulting in improving quality of life and function.

Her professional focus includes the treatment of chronic pain, substance use disorder, and opioid use disorder by promoting self-management and using both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches to help these patients live their best lives. Her undergraduate degree was obtained in Nursing at South University in Tampa, Florida. As a registered nurse, her work focused on medical-surgical nursing to include: Orthopedics, Neurology, Urology, and some Oncology. Later, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing with specialization as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from Auburn University/Auburn University-Montgomery in Alabama.

Over time, Patrice began to specialize in pain management, substance use disorder, and opioid use disorder. As a self-described lifelong learner, she earned an Executive Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on promoting self-management of chronic pain. Prior to nursing, Patrice served in the United States Military for over 10 years, to include year-long deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Today, she identifies as a servant leader, exhibiting the qualities of a high-energy team facilitator, who develops and improves team dynamics. Her daily goal is to create an environment where all participants perform as an integral part of the team, culminating in a better experience for all.

Jen Hilyard
Clinical Nutritionist

Jen Hilyard is a compassionate and experienced Clinical Nutritionist who has been working in the medical field since 2013. She holds a degree in Nutrition, Diet, and Health Science, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and is certified in both Diabetes Education and Management and Weight Loss.

At FlyWell Health, Jen plays a vital role in supporting patients through personalized nutrition care. While her work often begins with anti-inflammatory dietary approaches to help manage chronic pain, she takes time to explore the full spectrum of each patient’s health. Her appointments go in depth—addressing how nutrition impacts a range of conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, liver disease, high cholesterol, gastrointestinal disorders, and more.

Jen understands that every patient’s journey is different. She approaches each individual with empathy, curiosity, and a nonjudgmental mindset, creating a space where patients feel truly heard. She tailors her guidance to meet people where they are—considering their unique medical history, lifestyle, culture, and goals—while helping them make sustainable, meaningful changes. Whether someone is seeking relief from chronic pain, managing a complex diagnosis, or looking to improve overall wellness, Jen offers expert support grounded in evidence and compassion.

Originally from Ohio, Jen has called Colorado home since 1997. In her free time, she embraces the outdoors through hiking, biking, skiing, paddleboarding, camping, and playing pickleball.
